Option to sort lists of games

On the pages which display a list of games, I'd like to see something where you can sort by different criteria besides total point value, e.g. turns elapsed or especially the time remaining in the round (I'd also like to see a way to change the timer so as to display it as "round ends at $TIME" as opposed to the current view, but this is not so bad).
I am a lousy C programmer, but if you can give me some pointers I can maybe figure out this whole PHP thing, if it would help.
The game listings are going to be totally revamped; they'll be much more searchable, the default lists will be more suited to the games you're more likely to be interested in (depending how many points you have etc), and the game summaries will look much better and give a much clearer indication of what's going on within the game. It'll also use up more of the page horizontally and so fit more on the page vertically.
So yeah this is a big upcoming change that is badly needed
