Royce, Your right. I did that so that each sections sub menu (add book, delete book, add housing, delete housing) would be easy to control and keep organized. I'll put out a release of my own custom menu buttons and setup when I get a chance. Hello As a newbie I would say that I find the installation instructions are quite sufficient. However, I would imagine that some people would like instructions on how to change the default text navigation to the pretty graphical one that you use. It took me quite awhile to find a way to do it. In the end I decided each folder had its own header instead of each folder pointing to a header file in the main directory. Is that correct? Thanks for the great work and great php coding. Regards, Royce David Degner wrote: > Are there any parts in the installation instructions that are confusing > or that needs to be more thoroughly explained? > ( http://phpcollegeex.sourceforge.net/instructions.php ) > > > Casey, > Whats up? Are there any parts in the installation instructions that are confusing or that needs to be more thoroughly explained? ( http://phpcollegeex.sourceforge.net/instructions.php ) Casey, Whats up? Did you ever resolve the problem with the Ferris name being in your title? Keep sending in those patches, David Degner |

It is getting there. It has been a while since the last release so I give you 0.1.5Beta. It is lean mean and ready to go. It is designed to be easily customized with just the header footer and css files but still easily hacked with other features. There is one bug running around, I have problems logging on in Internet Explorer ? Compare the new included database and your current one because I updated a few fields in the housing section. To see how the stripped down version looks now go to: http://www.wku.edu/~david.degner/WBX/ The old header and footer files can easily be dropped in to keep your current look. David Degner |

Don't look at me while I'm naked. I am stripping all of my own sites formating and graphics off of the code and replacing it with a clean simple css controlled page. http://www.wku.edu/~david.degner/WBX/ After I am finished it should be a much easier job of updating your site as we go along without having to manually reformat everything (especially when I finish the admin section). PHP College Exchange 0.1.4 (08/24/04) ---------------------- The housing section is now almost complete. It works (except for the edit item page) and works pretty well. By 0.1.5 it will be complete. |

This will have to be a developing stopping place for me for about a week with school starting. Send me your patches and updates for an interim release. PHP College Exchange .1.3 (08/17/04) ---------------------- I'm up past my bedtime so you better like this. I renamed most of the php files to more logical names. I also fixed a multitude of errors and pretty thoroughly tested the whole site so if you run into a bug it is important to fix it and tell me. Next we will work on the theming to make it easy to make and keep a single theme through all these updates, hopefully all in CSS and the i_head.php and i_foot.php files. |

PHP College Exchange .1.2 (08/15/04) ---------------------- I have renamed the "forsale" database table to a more appropriate "Books". Errors with the location of login.php, the removeuser.php file (nonfunctional if anyone wants to make it work), and help.php file have been fixed thanks to Christian. I also updated the README file with better installation instructions. David |
