I have installed a fresh copy of pgpCollab with Softaculous using generated password with punctuation marks. I was mystified when I could not login the first time with the cut'n'pasted password. Reinstalled the system, generated different password - same story. I also could not reset the password because the the initial account did not have the e-mail written in the database (even though I provided both the admin e-mail and installer's email to Softaculous when installing).
In the end I directly edited database and provided the e-mail, then used password reset to get a password that the system can handle.
Not sure if this is defect in Softaculous or in phpCollab installer, but it does not make a good impression at first use.
Hi Arunas,
Sorry you had a problem with phpCollab. It is hard to tell if it was a phpC issue or something with Softaculous. I am not familiar with Softaculous nor how they install scripts. I do know that phpC does have some limitations, due to its age, in some of its functionality.
If you find out more about your particular scenario, please respond and let us know.
Thanks,
Jeff
