Hi, I've looked at the website for POG but the software doesn't seem intended to be so 'integrated' as PCG.  Mind you, I'm no programmer which is why I have looked at CodeGenie! Maybe when I've tried using CodeGenie and seen what it does I'd say something different.
      Cheers

I haven't looked at POG, but I stumbled onto QCodo which is somewhat more sophisticated than PCG, but to my senior-citizen understanding, MUCH harder to grasp and utilize.

One thing that QCodo allows that I haven't figured out how to do automatically with PCG is that if you created foreign keys in your database tables, QCodo will make place-holders as drop-down lists in the ADD routines.  It's not a big deal to add them manually to the output of PCG, but it is somewhat time-consuming.

Other than that, PCG is MUCH faster to reach a "demo/prototype" stage than QCodo.  And with a small amount of tweaking, the generated code even validates against W3C standards, if that's important. (I haven't completely eliminated manual edits to get validated code, but its a small price to pay for the generally consistent output.)

      Best regards to all.

        Hmm Dave

I'm not sure I agree with you about Qcodo and PCG.  I have been using both for almost six months now and think that Qcodo is a much better tool.  It is more limited in the number of databases it can connect to, but that's about it's only fault.  I think it's object-oriented approach makes it much more powerful and useful but may make it appear a little more complicated.

Qcodo isn't for everyone and if you don't have a background in OO then it may not be for you.  I have found it a step up from PCG which, I was very enthuastic about when I first found it.  The best thing to be said is that you can use both or either one that takes your fancy rather easily.
