Does the output from your code generator fall under the GPL license?

I want to know if I can use the product to generate commercial code.

      The GPL License states

"....The act of running the Program is not restricted, and the output from the Program is covered only if its contents constitute a work based on the Program ......"

What are you guys interpration of it?

      Hi,
As far as I see it this means that if you re-zip phpCodeGenie and resold it as MySuperCode then this constitutes a work based on the program.

If you use phpCodeGenie as the basis of a script called MySuperCode then you are within the terms of the GPL (as long as you make credit to phpCodeGenie)

Thats the way I see it anyway....
