unable to select database

I generate the code, cut and paste it into a a file like code.php, then I go to view the page. All I ever get is unable to select database. This is really cool stuff and I really want it to work. Can somebody help me please.

  Have you adapted and saved to your working project the datacon.php file? That is necessary to provide the db-setup...
