I have had no problems getting th Genie to work on my hosted server, but the copy I try to get to work on "Localhost" gets the following error:

Warning: (null)() [ref.outcontrol]: output handler "ob_gzhandle" cannot be used twice in Unknown on line 0

The genie will only display databases and table that exist at the time of the Genie install.  If I add new databases or tables or make a change to the existing tables, these additions/updates are not reflected in the database table selector.

I am running apache, php and mysql on a Windows XP system.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Please help.  Thanks!

      Hi,
Genie takes a piggy back ride on phpMyAdmin so that may have something to do with it.  You wouldn't have access to make changes to the php.ini file with your Host, but you do on your desktop.

I changed the way I do things to accomodate the way my Host requested which brought forth some limitations but I do all my work on my desktop then change what needs to be changed and upload the "completed" files to my Host.

I designed my database and am already using it but have been filling in info manually for a while now.  So all I did was dump the whole database as an sql file to include the data already there.  Then I pulled that file into my MySQL database on my desktop and fired up GENIE, lol.  Now I use Genie on my desktop to create my forms with in a  live working database.

I'm a newbie at this stuff so just sharing from what I have experienced so far.  Hope it helps or makes you think, lol.
