I have edited the bug-display page to allow a user to
edit the title and desctiption fields (just put them in
a text box)... This works absolutely fine for the
title, bu there is a problem updating the description -
it won't do it!
I've looked through the update_bug function in bug.php
and for some reason $description is always NULL, yet
$title is a valid string and so can be inserted back
into the SQL table. I suspect something funny is going
on with the way $description is defined and need to
know if this is a feasible change I'm trying to do...
As a related note, can I just add 'description' to the
array for bug history as in this update (which was to
add "priority" tracking)
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/phpbt/phpbt/bug.php?r1=1.126&r2=1.127
Thanks,
Greg

The design of the bug tracker is to not update the
description, but rather to just add comments to the bug.
You could also think of the description as simply the first
comment, made by the bug creator.
