The link checking seems to work in some situations, but
some sites still seem to fool it.

This works, but perhaps it is the ? which is throwing
it off..

    If you've downloaded the new code,
    you should be getting an http 302 error on that link
    which the current code does not handle well,
    as explained in the other bug report on this topic at
    https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=230883&group_id=18878&atid=118878

    If you are getting a different error upon submitting the
    link, it is likely you do not have a copy of the new
    addsite.php which is in the main directory (not the one in
    the admin subdirectory).
