Aaah..now it suddenly works..don't ask me why. But I do
have another question. When I add links myself in the admin
area it doesn't show the date added. What do I have to edit
so the date added is show when I as an admin add a link? It
is only shown when someone uses the 'Add Link' option and I
    validate the site.
Another question. At every link Out says 0...even if I
click it. Is this because it checks the ip?

The links Out = 0 problem was caused by the wrong database
table name being in the code to save the hit. Revision 1.3
    of out.php uploaded to CVS.

Still need to look into other issues raised, but i think
they're slightly lower priority so i downgraded this bug
    slightly.

Is it wise to update other files too? Or is it better to
    wait for a newer version?

Not sure what you mean. If you are having problems with the
system as a whole, it may be better to post to one of the
    Forums at https://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=18878
so this discussion doesn't get lost inside this bug tracking
    system.

The files i've changed are config.php, addsite.php and
out.php, and i added urlcheck.php. You will need all of
those (from cvs) to take advantage of the bug fix.

Unfortunately i don't have time to do a release tarball this
week, and i suspect mgifford doesn't either.

    Actually, you won't need config.php
    Sorry about that.

I think i've determined what is happening with error message
in the title of this bug report, and the issue with dates
not appearing. The latter has to do with the table names
changing when we forked the code. The former involves a lot
of code cleanup wrt addslashes etc. Expect a CVS update in
    a day or so.
