Frank -- Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I am in progress of updating the current cut of source code so that the functionality that was there when I took over will be functional again with the newest version of PHP Version 4. After that I am planning on doing a code audit and cleanup. Thirdly, I would like to get the current round of code into a semi-manageable state such that it will be production ready. However, afterwards, myself and the rest of the development staff are planning on performing a redesign and rewrite for PHP Version 5. I hope to have a working web site again and a v .9 on the web by 01/06. We wanted to have something more concrete before we went to him, though. - We also discussed the possibility of getting other corporate support from BEA, and I will try to contact someone at BEA to discuss this possibility. If anyone has any questions, ask anyone who was at the meeting. Hello Thibault, I am the new Project Manager, Carl Collin, and have taken over recently for= =20 Brian. Brian was kind enough to transfer ownership of the PHP-Tuxedo projec= t=20 to myself. I, and some developer friends of mine, are in the process of=20 rejuvenating this stale project. For now, you can go to=20 http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/php-tuxedo/php-tuxedo_0_4_0.tar.gz if you are interested in downloading a version of the software. After doing= =20 some code cleanup and documentation, a new version of PHP-Tuxedo, using OO= =20 methodologies and PHP v5, should be out in the spring of '06. Stay tuned. Carl J. Collin cdo...@us... Advanced PHP Programming, by George Scholssnagle, without a doubt, has a=20 load of information for what we are trying to do. Chapters 20-22 are=20 exclusively written about PHP Extensions. If there is someway we can=20 photocopy these 100 pages, everybody would benefit.=20 Carl |

I have been trying to debate to myself... Should we support both static and= =20 dynamic linking of PHP-Tuxedo? Static requires everybody to rebuild the=20 whole damn PHP subset, and dynamic allows you to load in your PHP file or= =20 via PHP.INI. I like dynamic. What do you guys think? Carl |

Just to make it official, I've requested that project ownership and admin rights be transferred to Carl Collin (cdog1977). Carl has a new group of people that wish to extend on the initial work for PHP5 and new directions. Since I have obviously not continued any development for several years, it seems like a good way for me to bow out while still seeing the continuation of the project. I wish them the best. I will hang around on the dev list for a short time while the transfer is being handled. Thanks to everyone who participated in the original project. Brian Foddy |

Please let me know your feelings and thoughts on > this. > > Thank you, > > Carl J. Collin Carl, I started the PHP-Tuxedo project several years ago when my employer seemed like they were going to make significant investments in Tuxedo. However, over the years they have slowly been "Sunsetting" Tuxedo and now there are serious pushes to remove any last pockets of Tuxedo. Since its decline at my employer, I have lost some of the incentive to keep developing the project. And as is evident, have made no new contributions to it in over 3 years. As I remember last, it certainly had the basics working pretty well in php4 and the Tuxedo range <= 8. Some users found the FML to PHP Arrays to be very powerful and easy. There is a lot of potential to expand on this and add XML interfaces also. I though at one time to move it to PHP PECL. If I remember the only small hangup was I would have needed to remove the GNU license and put a PHP specific license on it. It didn't seem like a huge issue, just never followed through. So as long as it stays in the public domain; the original intent of providing more hooks into PHP; and I retain some credit for my contribution to the project; I would be happy to transfer the project ownership to your and/or your group. You can keep the Sourceforge account and cary on where its at or move it to a new location. Let me know how you want to proceed and I'll do what I need to make it happen. I'm cc'ing the php-tuxedo development listing as well. Its a small group of initial supporters and contributers who were active in the initial days. Thanks for the interest and I hope it can be of use. Brian |

Primarily the problem is in the base php-tuxedo code because the API doesn't permit the end user to=20 specify any multi-thread values, so you have to rely on our code. However to Tuxedo, it can't distinguish between the two. As an even quicker fix, tho much more temporary, just add 0x20 (hex) to the flags argument of the tux_tpinit call. 0x20 is the value of the=20 constant TPMULTICONTEXTS that the mentioned line of C code would define for you. Makes no difference how its set, but it looks like it needs to be set for Tuxedo >=3D 7.1. Brian On Thursday 29 August 2002 12:35 am, you wrote: > But could you tell me where is the problem in?
