We will all have the same input and such on the project, but Carl will take care of the fun administration duties. - We will take notes at meetings (I have volunteered, but anyone else can do it), to make sure we're all on the same page, and have some notes and document= ation on everything. - The current mailing list is:cdo...@gm..., st...@gm..., cap...@gm..., flo...@gm..., sho...@gm..., th...@gm..., if anyone wants to use a different email address, let everyone know. - You may want to look at OpenOffice, an open source Microsoft Office replacement. You can find it at http://www.openoffice.org. - There is also a free Visio replacement called Dia that I am looking at, and you can find it at http://freshmeat.net/projects/dia/. - We haven't set a formal time for our next meeting, we'll play it by ear. We did discuss the possibility of meeting over lunch this week, if everyone's availab= le. - We discussed the future possibility of bringing this up to Russ to see if we could get some official department support (servers, clients, O/S's, that sort of thing). We wanted to have something more concrete before we went to him, though. - We also discussed the possibility of getting other corporate support from BEA, and I will try to contact someone at BEA to discuss this possibility. If anyone has any questions, ask anyone who was at the meeting. Later kids, John --=20 "Man has always assumed that he is more intelligent than dolphins=20 because he has achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and=20 so on -- while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the=20 water having a good time. But, conversely, the dolphins had always=20 believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely=20 the same reasons." - Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001 R.I.P. Doug, we miss ya. --=20 There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who assume all numbers are decimal, and those who don't. |
