You can try to omit the --prefix parameter and use php's own prefix. But I 
have had some trouble without this parameter on my Debian system.

Next time I will finish the work on kalyptus and I will generate the following 
classes: QGridLayout, QFont, QPainter, QPaintEvent, QTimer, QDateTime, QLabel 
which are neccessary for php_qt-0.0.2. We would be happy to receive feedback 
about this and all.
Furthermore, there is no windows port available and the homepage is very 
simple.

Exactly. Please keep in mind that Qt4 is not small. Jean-Luc and I are working 
on a solution for event handling and custom slots/signals respectively.
The plan is to make the first tutorials possible.
As Ferenc said, it is a good choice to try the latest version from subversion. 
Sure, this does not works everytime but has much more classes than version 
0.0.1.

But I think, you won't need that, the new version can find the libraries
much better than the 0.0.1. On my Mandriva Linux 2006 it works perfect.

Do you use the public 0.0.1 release or the SVN one? Please fetch the
current one from the SVN (I think it can be built at this moment)
because there were a lot of fixes regarding these library paths. See the
mailing list archive from December for details. :-)

Try to use the switches described in the previous thread about this.

My current configure line is:  (I hope this is the latest one.)

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php511/
--with-php-config=/usr/local/php511/bin/php-config
--with-qtlib=/usr/lib/qt4 --with-php_qt=/usr/lib/qt4/include

(All these paths depend on your installation directory of php511 and
Qt4, obviously.)

This configure will not work with 0.0.1, please get the code from SVN.

[Php-qt-users] Build issue with php 5.1.1 and Qt4

Can anyone help with a build problem? I have configured and compiled 
Qt4. It is installed in /usr/lib/qt4. I have also compiled php 5.1.1 in 
the /usr/lib/php. I have unpacked php-qt and have followed the 
instructions in detail as how to install it. Everything goes very well 
until I "make" and then I receive the following error.

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lQtGui
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [php_qt.la] Error 1

I have made sure the libQtGui.so is in my lib path, but I cannot get 
around this problem. Could anyone help me with some idea as to why this 
will not build? I am thrilled to see bindings for Php to Qt. This is a 
dream come true as I am a die hard php programmer. Thanks

I check how you can modify the size of your QLineEdit and see that the 
function setFixedSize(int w, int h) is implemented and it is working 
well. Try it. We need still to implement function like setMinimumSize().

Yes, QHBoxLayout in that case.

In QT Designer I can create such an input box, by setting the "maximum
size" of the box from 32767 to 50. Inside a vertical QLayout box! (Hint
for users: To create QBoxLayout select some widgets and then right
click->lay out vertically.)

I guess, 32767 or any size bigger than available means "share the
space", while a small size says "use exactly this size". I don't know if
32767 has a special meaning to QT (to me it's just 15 "1" bits ;-) ) or
does the same like 5000 or 10000...

Are you using QBoxLayout or something like this? According you picture, I would like to say yes.
If yes, it is not possible to change the size of your qlineedit. Indeed, QBoxLayout will manage for you the layout of your widget. The only way if you want to manage it is to place yourself where the widget must be with their sizes.
