Error:

Solution:
replace the dot with another character.

    I'm not sure what the status of XEmacs is, but I'm willing to work with someone to fix PHP-mode's problems.

    Hi Aaron,
    sorry for the late response.

    Last night I have testet 1.5.0 with XEmacs 21.4.
    Same problem with the dot.

    There's also a problem in the font-lock-defaults definition (SYNTAX-ALIST)

    I will try to fix these issues for XEmacs and provide a patch.

    This error is on line 572 of version 1.5.0. I was getting the same error as the guy below when I tried to download & install this today 8/20/2010. I made the suggested change and it appears to now work.
