In a restricted environment I think it is best to use
the servlet/j2ee backend. You can deploy your
JavaBridge.war application without having admin
privileges and you can store all the java libraries
you need into your JavaBridge.war.

All java options except java.log_level are INI_SYSTEM,
that means only the administrator can set them.

Yes. But in earlier versions of the JavaBridge the
context classloader has had the wrong parent, this was
fixed in 3.0.7a. But I don't think this bug is
responsible for the current problem.
