[Php-java-bridge-users] Is php_java/so and dll deprecated in 4.x?

Could you please clarify whether the php_java.so and dll continue to be 
supported in 4.x, or are they deprecated?  If deprecated what do you 
suggest about the performance difference when using Java.inc?

the old C code doesn't exist anymore (exception: PHP4). The new C code is just a thin wrapper
around Java.inc and exists only for backward compatibility.

Compared with version 3.0.8 I'd expect it to be a little bit faster -- or slower, depending on the
application.
