Hi, I'm using Tomcat private instance on Ubuntu. I have set up the bridge and can run the index and test programs. I then insert a simple java jar program in the WEB-INF/lib as I step through a simple program when I call in php require_once("java/Java.inc"); $session = java_session(); if(java_is_null($instName = $session->get("bean"))) { $session->put("bean", $instName=new Java("DoSimple")); }else { $session->put("bean", $instName=new Java("testString", "Test of Bridge")); } $rawInstNameA = java_values($instName->testAnArray($yrqtr)); against the simple java program: public class DoSimple { public DoSimple(){ } public void testString(String s3){ System.out.println(s3); } } The Bridge fails in the call to the constructor: The error output is: Cause: [[o:UnsupportedClassVersionError]:"java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: DoSimple : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0 (unable to load class DoSimple)" at: #-12 org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClassInternal(WebappClassLoader.java:2948) #-11 org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1208) #-10 org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1688) #-9 org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1569) #-8 java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) #-7 java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:274) #-6 php.java.bridge.Util.classForName(Util.java:1518) #-5 php.java.bridge.JavaBridge.CreateObject(JavaBridge.java:445) #-4 php.java.bridge.Request.handleRequest(Request.java:458) #-3 php.java.bridge.Request.handleRequests(Request.java:500) #-2 php.java.bridge.http.ContextRunner.run(ContextRunner.java:145) #-1 php.java.bridge.ThreadPool$Delegate.run(ThreadPool.java:60) #0 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(232): java_ExceptionProxyFactory->getProxy(4, 'java.lang.Unsup...', 'T', true) #1 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(360): java_Arg->getResult(true) #2 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(366): java_Client->getWrappedResult(true) #3 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(560): java_Client->getResult() #4 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(1752): java_Client->invokeMethod(3, 'getCause', Array) #5 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/java/Java.inc(2062): java_JavaProxy->__call('getCause', Array) #6 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/CallJava.php(26): java_exception->__call('getCause', Array) #7 /home/don/donTomcat/webapps/Financials2/CallJava.php(26): java_InternalException->getCause() #8 {main}] It can't load the class. I am new to PHP/JavaBridge. I have PHP scripts running on Apache Httpd, that needs to invoke Java classes deployed with JavaBridge.war (JavaBridge/WEB-INF/lib/mylib.jar) on tomcat6. I tried require_once("http://localhost:8080/JavaBridge/java/Java.inc"); $obj = new java("com.mycompany.myproduct.MyClass") ; //MyClass is in mylib.jar it successfully created the java object. But for require_once("http://localhost:8080/JavaBridge/java/Java.inc) to work, I have to turn on allow_url_include=On Wondering if there is a way for me to NOT have to turn on allow_url_include? I copied over the Java.inc file and placed under the same directory where my php scripts are, hoping this would work: require_once("Java.inc"); it does not! new java() just hung. Anyone knows a way to get this to work without requiring allow_url_include=On? |

Hi Numa, I am needing to use CakePHP with javabridge because of a Java class that I have to execute. To use CakePHP I need mod_rewrite, and the rule isn't working. Hi, Are you sure your don’t have an error in your regexp syntax ? The syntax below is correct, and is working. This error usually happens because of 2 errors: 1/ wrong recurring regexp 2/ rules that go into a loop, one rule triggers another, that triggers a the first one and so forth. Check you rules carefully and see if there is no loop. I never needed theses ‘webroot’ redirection rules, webroot should never appear in your url. Bye. Hi, I found this tópic - https://sourceforge.net/p/php-java-bridge/mailman/message/30163499/ and on the last answer of it they posted a list of rules for the rewrite filter and the rule below (the 3rd rule in list) is generating an error 500 "Filter execution threw an exception" <rule> > <from>^/(.*)$</from> > <to>/webroot/$1</to> > </rule> > > Generated error: javax.servlet.ServletException: Filter execution threw an exception org.tuckey.web.filters.urlrewrite.NormalRewrittenUrl.doRewrite(NormalRewrittenUrl.java:213) org.tuckey.web.filters.urlrewrite.RuleChain.handleRewrite(RuleChain.java:171) org.tuckey.web.filters.urlrewrite.RuleChain.doRules(RuleChain.java:145) .... *root cause* java.lang.StackOverflowError org.tuckey.web.filters.urlrewrite.RuleBase.matchesBase(RuleBase.java:205) org.tuckey.web.filters.urlrewrite.NormalRule.matches(NormalRule.java:92) ... Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix it? Thanks, Junior |

Hi all, I recently started using PJB. I am facing the following problem: The chart size being displayed in the browser is extremely tiny is not of the size that I had set up in BIRT. The image resolution is 283X173. However, when I use BIRT Viewer or use preview, the image size is as I had set up ie 510X268. Ironically, changing image size from inside the BIRT has no effect on the image displayed by PJB. I did lots of Google search but could not find any solution to this. I have two machines and I have the same problem with the both. BIRT version-4.3.2 PHP Version 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.14 Eclipse- Kepler I had to change XML version in my .rptdesign file to 3.2.21 from 3.2.23 to make it work with PJB. Please suggest a solution. Regards. |

Are you using tomcat 8 for it? In my experience, tomcat 7 works with the bridge but not tomcat 8. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android |

Hello, I am trying to use PHP to play media files. The java is responsible for generating the links of the paths of the files and PHP to run. For this I need to send several links to PHP reproduce. When you finish a video, play another. Its automatically start the PHP bridge? I'm having trouble running the examples of Java desktop app with the same examples of PHP into J2SE and The standalone. Could someone give me some articles on how to do this instantiation from java application? I need only send a string to the php with the file path so that it reproduces the media. thanks, and sorry for my english. -- *Arcanjo Gabriel R. Hi there, did anybody get PJB to run on HHVM (http://hhvm.com/ / https://github.com/facebook/hhvm)? I narrowed my tries down to a different way that xml_set_element_handler() works in PHP and HHVM. However, the PHP implementation seems to be the incorrect one? Thanks for your feedback. Thomas PS: Have you thought about moving the code to Github? |

I put JavaBridge.war in the tomcat/webapps folder. That's the only step I did before this was working as I described. You can get the .war file here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/php-java-bridge/files/Binary%20package/php-java-bridge_6.2.1/php-java-bridge_6.2.1_documentation.zip/download --Nathan On Tuesday, July 1, 2014 4:29 AM, "php...@li..." <php...@li...> wrote: Hi!!! Hi, Once you have installed your new version of php you can setup php-cgi to work with php-bridge in 3 ways: 1/ put the php-cgi binary inside WEB-INF/cgi/x86_64-mac/ 2/ OR setup your tomcat servlet configuration to use the default system php <servlet> <servlet-name>PhpCGIServlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>php.java.servlet.fastcgi.FastCGIServlet</servlet-class> <load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup> <init-param> <param-name>prefer_system_php_exec</param-name> <param-value>On</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>php_include_java</param-name> <param-value>Off</param-value> </init-param> </servlet> 3/ OR setup your tomcat servlet configuration variable to point to the correct location (RECOMMANDED) <servlet> <servlet-name>PhpCGIServlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>php.java.servlet.fastcgi.FastCGIServlet</servlet-class> <load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup> <init-param> <param-name> php_exec </param-name> <param-value>/opt/php/bin/php-cgi</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>php_include_java</param-name> <param-value>Off</param-value> </init-param> </servlet> Read more at: 1/ http://oceania.research.um.edu.mt/cms/settings.php 2/ http://php-java-bridge.sourceforge.net/doc/FAQ.html Regards, Numa Le 17 juin 2014 à 20:55, php...@li... a écrit : > Hi Numa, > > thank you for your answer, still have a question though. Hi Finoana, You need to install a new version of php as the one on macosx doesn’t include php-cgi. You best option is to use this one: http://php-osx.liip.ch Follow the instruction and you will have a full php stack running including php-cgi. Then you need to configure php-bridge to find php-cgi. My question is to enable it and also how to configure php via shell to make it work on cgi and not cli. I have checked on all forums and tried many things but it doesn’t work. Thank you so much. Hi, Looks like php-java-bridge servlet didn’t start properly ! Check your tomcat logs and verify that php-java-bridge web app didn’t have errors. Check that you have not firewall between your php machine and your tomcat machine. If it’s on the same there shouldn’t be any problem. I think your problem is clearly stated in this line; > java.io.IOException: PHP not found. Please install php-cgi. PHP test command was: [php-cgi, -v] Read the docs you should configure correctly php-javabridge to use php-cgi command line tool and make sure you have php and php-cgi installed on your system.
