Well the "destop guide" shows how to extend your Java desktop
application to allow scripting.

For web applications please follow the other guide (web front-end =>
servlet/jee back-end).

You *can* use JavaBridge.jar instead of a servlet back end. But note
that the standalone JavaBridge.jar container isn't as efficient as a
servlet or JEE container.
