Authentication with LDAP would be a great feature as I have a lot of users with an ActiveDirectory-Account.
For some reasons it's neccessary that every person has it's own user so it's not possible to useone read-only account for all.

This is actually a good idea but then I still have to secure the directory access through NTFS (because the list must not be public available) and when doing this PHP address book seems not to be able to access the config file and does not display the content of the database.
I know and use several open source projects that also provide LDAP support:
- eTraxis (http://code.google.com/p/etraxis/wiki/LDAPSupport)
- DokuWiki (http://www.dokuwiki.org/auth:ldap)
- Joomla (http://www.joomla.org)
From my point of view LDAP auth is very well integrated in eTraxis and I have very good experience with it. For DokuWiki and Joomla I didn't use it very intesively yet.
I would be glad to assist with any non-programming tasks or information.
Also I could provide a test environment on Windows Server and IIS basis including ActiveDirectory/LDAP. (For free of course.)

Michael

support for what? Support login authentication to LDAP server, or importing/exporting contacts from an LDAP directory?
Support login authentication to LDAP server,
If you have already LDAP-Functionality, i would be very interested about. - Unfortunatly there is no LDIF/LDAP support included (yet).
Regards O.
LDIF import functionality (ThunderBird specific) is included now.
At first thanks for your great tool!

You could add a "read-only" account if necessary.
=> Do you have PHP-Samples including LDAP-Authentication.
