I have customized some of the Address Book code to deal with the Groups grouping.
I have created a new class that will list the groups hiearchy sort of like:
and so on.
I attached a screen shot of my progress.
It does not matter what order the groups are entered, for instance Child 2 can come before Parent 1 in the database.
Currently, the list is alphabetized, but plan to make that an option later on.
The class accepts flags to know if there should be a checkbox, or not and a few other goodies and many more on the table.
I am currently working on making the drop downs organized in a similar way.
Is there a way I can send the edited files to you guys and maybe include on a future release?
Hi Mark,
Sure, you can fork on github and send me the patch or just attach the files to this post. Note that there is no guarantee, that I will include the code, because I'll check first if it fits the general need and quality level.

Absolutely understand that one. I tried to follow your conventions but at times, my own slang took over out of habbit.
I will send them over in the next day or two.
