Phlite Goes Gold

After a very brief beta period Phlite, the open-source project that offers photographers a portfolio website based on their Flickr account, has gone gold with a version 1.0 release.

With this release photographers can now create their online portfolio without ever logging into a content management system or editing HTML. Phlite-powered websites are created simply by uploading the application to a server and tying it into a Flickr account. Because the portfolio site is based on Flickr it seamlessly integrates into the work-flow of the photograph; now there's no need to re-size photos, upload them to multiple locations, or go through the trouble of tagging pictures over and over.... read more

Phlite Beta Work Begins

After the closed-Alpha versions of Phlite were so well received I've decided to continue it's development. Work has begun on a Beta version, and it is now under a GPL license.

Anyone interested in helping with the project, feel free to let me know. It's my first GPL project and I want my first contribution to the development community to be something note-worthy.
