I think I remarked something strange with Phex: when I try to download stuff from gtk-gnutella 0.97.1, there are repeated error messages. I first remarked it when Phex users connected to my gtk-gnutella and then I simply fired up both and browsed gtkg through 127.0.0.1 with Phex (none was firewalled). The attached screenshot should give an idea (I stopped the transfer at some point, otherwise the log would continue). The same didn't occur with FrostWire 4.21.5 and Shareaza (via wine), Phex can download from these servents without any problems. Interestingly, when uploading from Phex to gtk-gnutella everything works as expected. No idea if the problem comes from Phex or gtk-gnutella, but you may want to take a look at that.
