New install provides generic "Internal Server Error"

  • Anonymous - 2014-03-28

After installing pH7 and removing the _install directory, attempts to hit the site I receive this content:

    ¡pH7! Social Dating CMS

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an error. This is most often caused by a scripting problem, a failed database access attempt, or other similar reasons.

Nothing is being logged to the apache or varnish error logs.

Since "some" pH7 code is being generated on the page, I'm inclined to beleive the issue is with pH7, and not apache or varnish.

Is there a "debug" mode I can enable? I have "display errors" on in PHP, but I'm still not seeing anything.

    Hi Ray,

    Sure, we've a debug mode.
    Please edit the ~/_YOUR-PROTECTED-FOLDER/app/configs/config.ini file
Replace "environment = production" by "environment = development" at the beginning of the file.

Refresh the page and please tell me the error.

OK! Your PHP installation was special because this class is installed by default.

The file ~ / _YOUR-PROTECTED-FOLDER/app/configs/config.ini - it simply does not exist in this directory. What else do advise? There is a directory _protected / app / configs / environment and there are all.env.php development.env.fp production.env.php What to do? Help me please ...

Sorry for the inattention, the config.ini file exists. But now there was another problem - on the home page and on the issues the message admin123

Sorry, your pH7CMS License Key is incorrect!

I'm testing the system on a local server (type wamp) on the local domain looks http://phcms

What should be the license code and where can I get it?

Everything works, I understand. It was necessary to give the right folders 777 and files 666 in directiry _protected and public, and also comment in public/.htaccess at the top of those two lines
    #Options + FollowSymLinks

    Hi Pierre,
I really need your assistant, I am a novice when ti comes to PHP.
So, i'm getting the below error:

"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I downloaded pH7CMS from cpanel, I performed your suggestions here but it didn't work. I adjusted all folders and files permissions to 777 and 666. Still won't work. Please help, I'm stuck ! :)
