#1 carousel not displayed in safari

when viewing a gallery with Safari (Version 2.0.4 (419.3)) the `<div id="myCarousel" class="jdGallery"></div>` doesn't get filled (presumably some javascript error).

i have reproduced this behaviour with a clean, new plone instance with only pgv installed (Plone 3.0.1, Zope 2.10.4)
