Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the problem is, but it is not TikZ specific. I get the same problem if I use \usepackage{pstricks} or \usepackage{xcolor}.

Trying to produce a minimal example should be helpful to isolate the cause of the problem.
Hi.
Tikz changes my page layout:
1) Download this tex file: http://www.etfa2008.org/ETFA_2008/Submit_Papers_files/ETFA_2008_TeX.zip
2) Compile it with pdflatex and look at it
3) insert \usepackage{tikz}
4) Compile it with pdflatex and look at the changed margins
Somehow tikz seems to redefine distance measurements. Does anyone know a workaround for this?
I use pgf-2.0.
Thanks.
