A silly little javascript shooter

You can "play" on the test server at http://pyrop.us:1234

Setting up a testing server

You will need:

  • node.js
  • the pewpew source
  • a browser

This is a fairly trivial task:

Starting a game

Once you visit the pewpew url (official server: http://pyrop.us:1234), you'll be
prompted for your name. Type it and press Enter. You will/should spawn. You'll
be all alone, so either wait or open it up again in another tab. At this point,
WASD will accellerate your "spacecraft" in the associate directions. You can
also chat in box at the bottom.

Contributing

Anyone can contribute to PewPew. There is a general vision for the future, but
all input is welcome. Coders of any skill level are welcome to learn (or teach)
with the project. PewPew is written in JavaScript, so if you can write
JavaScript and use git, you'd be an asset to the project.

If you have a specific idea, stop by ##pewpew on irc.freenode.net and run it by
us before you put too much time into it. If you want to help but don't program,
submit (or fix!) bugs on the tracker at
https://sourceforge.net/p/pewpewbang/tickets/

Thanks for your interest in PewPew
