Xfce 22.02 Release Notes:

This is a major release, will occur every year.

  1. Slight modification to the sddm theme.
  2. New alternate layout added
  3. Starship prompt added
  4. Fetch master added
  5. Alacritty terminal added
  6. VLC added
  7. Dunst added
  8. xfce4-appfinder added
  9. Added archive plugin for Thunar
  10. Thunar has become the default FM
  11. Light has replaced xbacklight
  12. Below packages have been removed (not in alphabetical order):
    • lplayer
    • deadd-notification-center
    • tor-browser
    • Nautilus
    • xfce4-terminal
    • buttermanager
    • mpv
    • neofetch
    • midnight commander

Final Note:
Updated ISO release will happen more frequently now, i.e on every alternate month, starting with one major release every year followed by "only updated/minor" release.
