LXQt 22.02 Release Notes:

This is a major release, will occur every year.

  1. Slight modification to the sddm theme.
  2. Tint2 has replaced polybar.
  3. Modifications to the panel layouts.
  4. Starship prompt added
  5. Fetch master added
  6. Alacritty terminal added
  7. VLC added
  8. Light has replaced xbacklight
  9. Below packages have been removed (not in alphabetical order):
    • xfce4-terminal
    • polybar
    • midnight commander
    • buttermanager
    • neofetch
    • shortwave
    • mpv
    • lplayer
    • tor-browser ( tor is present )

Final Note:
Updated ISO release will happen more frequently now, i.e on every alternate month, starting with one major release every year followed by "only updated/minor" release.
