Welcome to the PetaVision Wiki

The PetaVision project seeks to demonstrate synthetic cognition by developing a real-time, full-scale model of the primate visual cortex that matches (or surpasses) human level performance in selected sensory processing tasks.

The purpose of this wiki is to provide explanations, examples, and tutorials for users of PetaVision. As a new user, make sure to go through the tutorials to become comfortable with the mechanics of designing a params file and starting a run in PetaVision. The wiki is meant to complement the doxygen documentation that is generated from commented code.
