I think you are the first one who is trying to run it on SUSE linux :)

The development currently is still oriented to Redhat, however this is 
only related to
the startup scripts and program locations. PersonalBackup should work on 
all linux flavours which
support perl and samba.

A further step would be to create automatically debian, redhat and 
ofcourse suse packages ...

Any contributions are welcome ofcourse :)
