[Personalbackup-users] About generalizing personalbackup

Hi all!
I was searching throught sourceforge for a backup system which were
easy to use for the users and i saw personalbackup and i thought that it
was great!
But trying to install i saw some strange things (that after i 
understood), for
example in the init script there some things that are for red hat. I read in
the forum that it was designed for this distribution.
But i want it to work! :(
So, there is a plan to do it for any distribution? if it is, i will wait 
for a next
release impatient... :)
If it isn't i will try to understand the init process of my distribution 
(debian
sarge) and i will try to fix the problems as good as i can...
