Very happy to find a PERL implementation of UPNP.
I can install the module, but have no ideas about how to use it. Could anyone help? tks a lot!

      Joe,

Just found this forum.  Bought the dlink-DSM 320 last night.  Their Media Server sucks, so I am investigating writing my own.  I love PERL, and was suprised to perl impl.

Just getting started myself.  There are good docs about upnp at upnp.org.  They are a little over my head at the moment.  I am trying to understand the whole architecture.

What are your interest in upnp?  Mine:  build my own tivo type infrastructure, based around dish network programing.  But I also want to serve up ripped dvds, mp3s, digital photos, home movies...

      hope to hear from you...

I want to control my MediaRenderer with a Perlscript, but I have no idea how I do this :-(

For example I use the Intel MediaRenderer (from Intel Tools for UPnP Technologies: http://intel.com/technology/UPnP/toollicense.htm\)

With the Perlscript from the documentation  I can see the MediaRenderer, but how I control the Renderer (something like play, stop, next, ...)?

      Axel
      Can somebody help me?
