I use PerlPrimers for a while, and it's work fine at
least this last week. I download version 1.1.13 and the
program don't let me open any kind of fasta or text
files. (I attach a screen shot). Anyway i try to copy a
sequence succesfully and then i can design primers but
i can't save the project. (I attach another screen
shot, now from the perl shell) Finally, this first
happen with the windows stand alone & later i install
activestate perl and run the script, with the same
result. I hope that i can be resolve. I will check up
this page for answers :) (I can't post my mail for
obviusly reasons!)

I'm guessing that the error stems from the directory path
you're trying to save to - your username in the screenshot
has a accented character, and I'll bet that's the cause of
the problems. Try saving to c:\ or similar (any path
without an accent), and let me know if the problem persists ...

    Cheers,
    Owen
