I'm using ActiveState Perl 5.8.7 on a PC with Win XP
2002 SP1. I used to have perl 5.6 on my old win2000
PC and never had problems with perldbadmin. I have
not been able to get it to work under 5.8.7. I made one
change which helped slightly, which was turning off "use
strict" in orac_Base.pm (I don't recall the exact errors
there), which I know is not the best approach. Anyway,
the error I get now when trying to run the tool is just after
the splash logo is displayed -
