Hello All, I have finally gotten started with Git and I have migrated 2 thirds of my CPAN distributions to Github from Subversion. I would really like to migrate Workflow from SourceForge to Github for project and code hosting. I think this has been requested by different people and I am up for it. The migration would be most beneficial to the project, but for the Github part, but also for other aspects, where I have found the Wiki integration and other tools cumbersome. So unless somebody has issues with this proposed migration I plan to do it soon, hopefully by the end of this weekend. Looking forward to hearing from you, jonasbn |

Hi, Sounds like we are unanimous. Dose anybody know how one goes about mapping usernames, I can create the authors file, but does it make sense to locate people in Github or something? - on e-mail addresses or similar. The project members from SourceForge are: Alejandro Imass Alexander Klink Jim Brandt Martin Bartosch jonasbn (admin) stocks29 From: http://sourceforge.net/p/perl-workflow/wiki/Home/ Alexander, Jim, Martin are all on Github and so am I. I guess stocks29 (http://sourceforge.net/u/stocks29/profile/) is https://github.com/stocks29 but I am not sure. I would love to map possible commits if this is possible. jonasbn On 25/01/2014, at 18.45, Alejandro Imass <ai...@ya...> wrote: > +1 > > On Friday, January 24, 2014, Jonas B. Hello all, After a quite a few test runs I was able to create a satisfactory repository. Check it out at: https://github.com/jonasbn/perl-workflow Please let me know if you spot any issues. jonasbn On 25/01/2014, at 19.16, Jonas B. Hello All - just a brief follow-up, I got the releases synced today and I expect to start working from Github from now on, the branches will not be synced, but I think this is a good chance to sort of start from a clean slate. The releases do need some cleaning, but nothing serious. There are several issues (7) in RT (https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Name=Workflow), I expect to keep bug reports in RT, which originate from there, but I do not mind using issue tracking in Github in conjunction. I am very excited with this migration and I have my hopes up for a more active and open development cycle. First release will be a regular housekeeping release, I have some stuff I want to address to get the test suite running and continuous integration running using Jenkins. Thank you all for your support and patience, jonasbn Ps. This mailing list is still hosted with SourceForge, recommendations for alternatives are most welcome. We could request a list on perl.org or similar (http://lists.perl.org/). On 02/02/2014, at 22.39, Jonas B.
