[perl-win32-gui-users] Printing in windows

I was wondering what the best method is of sending text to a printer
attached to the computer running the application. I had read that you
can just open the LPT1 with a pipe, but that didn't work for me. 

Can anyone please point me to information on printing from within a
win32 gui app on a local printer? Most all information I have found has
been to print to a remote / networked printer. Possibly using the
standard windows printer dialog box would be great.
