If by PerLDAP you are referring to the package provided by Mozilla, I
would highly recommend Perl-LDAP. I build web apps that "speak" LDAPS
all the time, I'm working on one now actually. I used to use PerLDAP
exclusively, but find the Perl-LDAP pure Perl implementation far
superior (especially when dealing with controls :). Both support SSL,
and the latest netscape shared library will allow TLS, but I still find
Perl-LDAP the best way to go for secure connections as well.
