problems with dependancies for LDAPS

Has anyone had any problems installing the modules:

Net_SSLeay and IO::Socket::SSL ? (both required for Net::LDAPS)

I'm getting a bundle of failed tests from the IO:Socket:SSL module when I
'make test' ?
