ldap->modify

hi,everyone:

I wish to modify an attribute in ldap tree.
I have see the online document about ldap->modify.

is there a more concrete example about any of the
ldap-> modify() methods.

besides, I always use 

Net::LDAP::Util qw( ldap_error_name
                          ldap_error_text) ;
with a sub procedure LDAPerror
in ldap->add(), ldap->search() etc.

can we still get result->code? after $result is
returned from sub modify? It seems the program doesn't
know about this "code".
