i did not installed the new v0.2 yet, but i'm happy to read about this. I
think this new implementation is good. 
In the past I had several problems with my script, because the get-function
gave other results as descriped in your documentation. I also thought about
the "attribute does not exist / is empty" problem, and i'm happy to see this
solved.

Another thing about you:
It's really great to see how you are motivated to help all the peoples with
their problems. Since i'm watching the perlldap mailinglist, you left no
question unanswered - seems to be a fulltime-job.
