AuthNetLDAP

I have installed AuthNetLDAP on my server with no problem,  edited the
.htaccess file  but I got the ff. errors when I tried to access the
directory, here is ther error_log:

.... /home/httpd/html/casper/.htaccess: Invalid command 'PerlSetVar',
perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server
configuration

I'm new to this one and I dont know if  i'm missing something out ?  thanks
for any help ...
