In particular, apostrophes (') are turned into backticks (`) and newlines escapes (\n) are removed (and probably other escapes as well). The xray archive does not have that problem. I emailed the SourceForge maintainers about the apostrophes and got this response: Well, it's not done just for the fun of it. You can't easily insert ' into a database, so they are converted.
