Well my first question is

What GPS to buy :)

I have a pIII 800 laptop, i want to buy somehting
in the 200-300$cdn range, that can connect to my laptop.

Then i'd like to be able to write perl to do things like
grab the lat/long every minute or so.. something like
that, then i'll worry about storing the data in postgres.

I'd doing a drive across canada in a few months and
i wanna add some geek factor to the trip :)
