This is a heads-up note to alert you that there will be test suite runtime errors in the recent release of PerfSuite (0.6.1rc1) if built with PAPI 3.0.7 using the Pentium III or Itanium PAPI substrates. These are minor errors that arise from the way that PAPI sets the default counting domain (user/kernel/all) for event sets. They do not affect the overall use of psrun or libpshwpc. You can safely ignore these errors and run the entire PerfSuite test suite to completion with "make -k check". A similar problem was identified and corrected in PAPI with the Pentium 4 PAPI substrate and has been entered in the PAPI 3 bug tracking system for these other platforms so it's not expected to cause any problems in the future (but might be a bit disconcerting for anyone building today).
