Usually you can run 32 bit software on a 64 bit kernel. If you install 
all 32 bit dependant software (libs), then it may be possible to use a 
32 bit and a 64 bit version at the same time. But i don't know if your 
distro supports it - some offer 32 bit libs, some not.
