[Perfparse-users] Service log removal question

I have set up perfparse and it is working great with the mysql connector,
and I have it using hte marker in the log to remember what it has already
fed in to mysql. Every time I restart nagios, it deletes the service log and
I have to manually delete the file it created as the mark file. How can I
automat this so that I don't have to remember to delete the mark file every
time I restart nagios or the server? I am not a linux pro, so detailed info
would be much appreciated.
