Can you confirm the correct option to use in the configure to select the 
correct version of glib?

I am using --with-glib12=/usr/bin which works with me, replying:

Using glib1.2:                 1.2.10
*****************************************************

Can you also post the reply to the developers news group so that Garry 
can include in his documentation?
