#2 Editor startup not working under cygwin

The editors of PEP cannot be opened from the GUI when
using cygwin. The reason is, that wish.exe is a
symbolic link to wish84.exe, and Tcl cannot execute
symbolic links under cygwin.

It should be checked if this is a Tcl or cygwin bug.

A simple workaround: copy wish84.exe to
$PEPHOME/bin/wish.exe
