I have a couple of features to request:
1. Frame smoothing: in certain games, such as Chrono
Cross, there are moments when the game deliberately
creates frame skipping because of a large number of
polygons that are present, and to run the SPU smoothly
on the Playstation. This feature would disable such
processes, and smooth out frames, but has a higher
2. Record w/ Audio: enables the ability to capture
SPU data, including XA audio if any, and multiplexes
it along with the output movie file. I'm not quite
sure how this can be done, but it may have to do with
the SPU plugin being able to send sound data to the
GPU. This may require a joint project development
between GPU and SPU authors.
3. Frame rate decimation: Instead of using framerate
scales, the GPU can have a selection of framerates
that the user can select for recording movie files.
This can range from 23.976 to 60 fps, or it can be a
custom set (if someone wanted to set a recording of 40
fps). I'd also like to see more even and accurate
4. Stretching settings: The stretching mode selected
should not only affect gameplay, but it should also
affect the movie recording (in certain Squaresoft
games, a steady aspect ratio is required to keep
scrolling text from becoming distorted).
Optional: If you wish, you can create special
functions in the GPU to take advantage of other
emulators (e.g., your work with FPSE 24-bit MDEC
