Apparently, with some games, reading off of CDs
usually sometimes stops and starts up again very
often, especially with laptop DVD-ROM drives. I was
wondering if you could add an option that would cause
such drives to keep the CD spinning, probably for
about a minute or something, or if at all possible,
exactly as how the original PSX does it (at a certain
speed that wouldn't cause the drive to overheat).
Also, for some reason, the driver won't work with my
drive. It's a MATSHITA UDJA720 V1.00 drive, which
means it's got CD-R/CD-RW writing abilities, plus DVD
reading. And it won't work. -_- It crashes ePSXe
v1.5.2 when I am about to start a game. For the
record, it also crashes with ePSXe v1.5.2. beta 202
(it's a private beta).
On a sidenote, I was wondering if real PSX CDs work
with such a drive. Although it is a laptop DVD drive, it
is of a different nature...(e.g., DVD/CD-RW combo) E-
